Re-capturing the Heart and the Emotion of Finding Nemo:

There’s so much that makes Finding Nemo such a well-crafted hilarious, emotional and dramatic masterpiece, which makes Finding Dory a tough act to follow, and since Finding Nemo has such a strong nostalgic following, expectations couldn’t be higher. The good news is that director Andrew Stanton is back again for the sequel and with the original creative team back again for the follow-up, we’re absolutely certain Finding Dory will understand how to blend exactly what made it’s predecessor such a cherished classic movie, and how to bring new elements to the story to ensure that Finding Dory is the best it can be.

Pushing the Boundaries of Animation Even Further:

With nearly every new film, Pixar continues to push the boundaries and limitations of computer generated animation like never before, and with the release of Finding Nemo back in 2003, Pixar pushed beyond the boundaries that no other studio has done before in tasked with the challenge of creating a realistic underwater environment that was completely CG-rendered. The result was a stunning work of art that looked immersive and realistic, making it an achievement still impressive today. Since Finding Nemo has such a strong history with pushing technology and director Andrew Stanton has quite the reputation for crafting immersive and stunning movies, we’re excited to see what new elements Finding Dory will bring to the animation landscape.

The Return of Classic Characters:

Finding Nemo has no shortage of fantastic characters, and by pure speculation, we’re sure most of them will show up in some form for the sequel, but the marketing has been rather cautious about sharing exactly which characters will be resurfacing for Finding Dory, so we hope to catch a glimpse of a few of our fan favorites along the way and find out what they’ve been up to in the six months after the events of the first film.

Setting the Stage for Pixar’s Sequel Hunger:

I probably don’t have to spend much time telling you exactly what’s in store for Pixar beyond Finding Dory, because as I’m certain you’re well aware, Pixar has embarked on a new creative direction and four out of the five currently announced upcoming films are all sequel based. Toy Story 4, The Incredibles 2, Cars 3 and of course Finding Dory round up everything coming from Pixar in the next few years, with the exception of the stand-alone Coco, which is out next November. Essentially, Finding Dory sets the stage for what’s in store for Pixar’s new thirst for sequels and what kind of creativity we can expect from the studio going forward. Will Finding Dory be Pixar’s next Toy Story 3 or just another cash-grab like Cars 2? We’re excited to see what Finding Dory will have in store for this new profound change in direction for the studio, and what these sequels will bring to the table going forward.

The Next Chapter in the Nemo Franchise:

By far, what we’re absolutely most excited about is to finally return to the world of Finding Nemo at last. Pixar’s absolutely fantastic 2003 film is such a marvelous classic that is cherished so closely by millions, that expectations couldn’t be higher. There’s so much that we love about the Nemo film that we can’t wait to see back again on the big screen when Finding Dory is released in just less than a week away. Pixar, don’t let us down!

Finding Dory hits theaters next Friday, June 17th.
